Back In The Day

If you are lucky enough to have grabbed up a vintage scoot, and have been able to hold on to it, your in a minority class of scooter trash. I was lucky about 20yrs. ago when I had just unloaded a 81 lowrider (needed some cash), as luck would have it I had a couple grand left over after paying some court cost. So I’m in the coffee shop talking to an old fried of mine, who just happened to have this 68flh (original owner), now I have see this guy putting around town on this all my life, so he asked me what I was going to do about another ride, I had my eye on a 80 lowrider that need some TLC, and I could pick this up for around  three grand. Out of the blue this old friend of mine says, why would you what that, when you could have my old 68?. I came rite back with you’d never sell that bike. Then he said something like this, you know I have been putting my dirty socks in the frig., and the milk in with the dirty laundry, I don’t need to be riding that 68 any longer, and I know if I sell it to you, you’ll take care of it and probably never sell the thing.  Thats how I picked up my 68flh.
