Trying To Keep Up With NASCAR

NASCAR moves pretty fast now days, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. New name same game, last year it was called NASCAR Nextel Cup, that work for a couple of years. Before that, the series or races were called Winston Cup, and before that, how about the Grand Nationals, maybe I’m getting confused now. I do know one thing its all about MONEY, when it comes to the name game.

This year we now have NASCAR Nationwide Series, again money, this was called the Busch Series, before that, there wasn’t a second tier in NASCAR, so to speak in big-time stock car racing.

I was down at my local gin-joint yesterday, during the Nationwide race, and a guy says I thought this race is on Sunday. I told him this is the Nationwide race, what used to be Busch, he looked puzzled, so I said this is the little cars, the big cars race on Sunday, WOW.

The Nice thing about the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is its trucks, you can give this any name you want, but its still just trucks!

I see the web masters can’t keep up with NASCAR either, if you check out the tabs on these NASCAR sites they still show Nextel and Busch, that’s how fast NASCAR is. Well I gotta get on my race suit and strap in for the 50th running of the Daytona 500……………..
