Useful Facts About How to Run Your Car On Water

Hydrogen for cars – how to run your car on water.

As gas prices are rising to previously unimaginable levels, every available resource is being explored to replace fossil fuel. Hydrogen fuel seems to be a possible alternative. Hydrogen for cars will not only provide the chance to explore new energy sources; it will also open up better potential for us to improve how we travel overall.

The era of hydrogen fuel car?

Hydrogen gas keeps climbing the list as one of the top contenders for fossil fuel replacement. It exists naturally in everything from coal and water to the compost heap in your backyard. The high degree of availability makes hydrogen gas a valuable resource to consider.

Methods for producing hydrogen fuel for cars can vary, but they are all quite efficient and much cleaner than is fossil fuel production. For instance, a gasoline production refinery requires 300 billion gallons of water to produce that fuel, but if it produced the same amount of hydrogen, it would only need one million gallons of water.

A gallon of hydrogen for cars costs half the price of a gallon of gasoline and improves fuel economy by more than two thirds. Hydrogen fuel generates lower engine operating temperature and there is no emission of hazardous fumes by its use.

A big problem hindering the production of hydrogen-fueled vehicles is the lack of available hydrogen fuel. In the future, home hydrogen refueling stations may become a realistic possibility.

An explosion of new vehicle designs will emerge when hydrogen fuel powered cars become the standard in the automobile industry. The electricity to power these vehicles would be generated within a much smaller engine from the hydrogen fuel, thereby eliminating many of the limitations imposed not only by the size of gasoline engines, but also those restrictions based on the heat produced by a gasoline engine. Limitations from designing around current driveline equipment would also be eliminated by the new hydrogen-fueled vehicles.

Clean, cost effective and environmentally safe, hydrogen is the fuel of our future. As hydrogen production increases and becomes more available, fueling stations will open and we will reap the savings and environmental benefits of using hydrogen for cars.

Changing The 49FL Front Tire From A 19 to A 21

49 with a 19 rim
Well nothing else going on, my trans seal is leaking on the 49 pan, so I thought I’d give the front end a new look.

I jumped on eBay and found a sweet deal on a 21in front wheel with timken bearing hub. It is an aftermarket model with a new looking rim. This unit came complete with the axle, an original polished side plate, axle sleeve, break shoes, springs and cam lever and chrome drum. Everything ready to bolt up and go. That made the buy-it-now price worth an email to the seller for a price drop of 25 bucks and he took it, so I bought the package, total $225. Shipping was fast and I recommend the seller lykinsaaron

Then I had to finish this with a new hub cap, I picked it up from

Claire Miller wrote a good post on the NYtimes bit-blog, all about the troubles of the  start-up electric car company, Tesla Motors. The new man behind the wheel is Elon Musk, Mr. Musk is the fourth chief executive of the San Carlos, Calif., company since it was founded in 2003. Elon Musk, who made his fortune from the sale of online payment site PayPal to eBay, acknowledged that building cars has taken four times the time and effort he expected.
And not to mention money? Anyway its a good read, check out the complete post at bits.blogs.nytimes.com.

Necessary Tips About Water 4 Gas Scam

Water 4 Gas Scam

It seems that everywhere you turn these days, prices for every day essentials are skyrocketing. From the grocery store to the gas pump, prices seem to increase almost weekly or in the case of gasoline, daily. It’s no wonder that people are attracted to any product that claims to save to you money at the gas pump. The latest craze that’s sweeping the nation is water for gas or water 4 gas, as it’s popularly called.

Is it true that you can use water for gas? Actually not in the same way, as a matter of fact, if you get water in your car’s engine, it would mess up the engine and ruin your car. So does it mean the water4gas is a lie? In fact, it can be done, but it has to be implemented a different way.

Water4gas is a bit of misnomer because the water is not the actual alternative fuel, but rather provides the elements hydrogen and oxygen to create the reactive process to boost gasoline performance and economy. There is no dispute that hydrogen gas burns more cleanly and efficiently than ethanol-based gasoline and unlike gasoline, produces no emissions other than ordinary water vapor.

Supplying small amounts of hydrogen will help your car burn gasoline more efficiently. Thus, your car will consume less gas. You can conceivably create an alternative source of power for your car by splitting water into its component atoms of hydrogen and oxygen. Sound far-fetched? Not, really, NASA sends its shuttles into space using the same hydrogen fuel.

What the majority of the various water4gas systems currently out there do is provide instructions for converting your car to use water4 gas technology. Some online sources sell the kits that you put together and then install on your vehicle. For downloadable versions of the water4gas systems, you need to build it yourself.

Many people believe that any technology that has not been proven is bogus. If you look up the term “water4gas” on Google or Yahoo, you will find dozens of sites that claim the system will save money and just as many that hold that the water for gas idea is ridiculous. There are several online forums where water4gas technology is discussed quite heatedly. You will find both vehement opponents and stubborn defenders of the technology there.

Whether or not the water4gas system is a lie or the truth, gas prices are decidedly unfavorable. A tried and true way for reducing the amount of money spent on gas has not happened yet and people are still waiting for this to happen. The car manufacturers Honda and BMW are just beginning to design and produce cars that are powered by hydrogen fuel. Just in time for summer 2008, Honda is planning to release its first hydrogen fuel cell car available for the public. The Clarity FCX will be available for leasing only in limited areas of Southern California.
